The Eastern Shore Art League of Virginia is a 501-(C3) organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts on the Eastern Shore
show your work
The Eastern Shore Art League offers several locations to exhibit your artwork. Everyone loves to see local art, and our artists love to show and sell our work. Come see what we can do.
See new shows every season at the spacious main room. Recently remodeled, it is a fine gallery as well as a community meeting space. A portion of our sales is donated to the Friends of Onancock School. In the fall, look for the member show where you can vote for your favorites.
Art and literature make for a great combination. A portion of sales is donated to the library to keep this Eastern Shore treasure serving the community.
Formerly The Hermitage, this gallery is elegant - a space to relax and enjoy the art. Residents appreciate having their own art space to show their family and friends.
Our signature outreach activity is the Student Show where 11th and 12th grade art students enjoy recognition from their parents and the community and compete for prizes to help further their budding interest in art. We team up with the Arts Council of the Eastern Shore (ACES) and the United Way to help art students learn by exhibiting and seeing the work of all the participating schools. The work is always fantastic!
This annual event is enjoyed by many of our Art League patrons. This year it is open to the public from September 5 to November 26, 2019. We’ve planned an October 11, 2019 reception to coincide with the hosting of Second Friday at HOS. Details will be distributed to all members this summer.
