2026 Becky Rootes Memorial Art Scholarships

The Eastern Shore Art League is pleased to announce the 2026 Becky Rootes Memorial Art Scholarships, established in honor of past ESAL President Becky Rootes.

The scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school students residing on the Eastern Shore of Virginia who are continuing to an advanced education institution (community college, college, or university) and who are planning to pursue a field of study inclusive of the visual arts.

Two $2000.00 scholarships will be awarded annually, in 2-D visual art, and 3-D visual art to applicants who meet the criteria.

Applications must be postmarked before or no later than April 10, 2026
