The colors are phenomenal. I could sit and look at this forever; it pulls me in and it could be anything. The colors and shapes are so interesting.
I love the simplicity of this. It’s treated like a black and white but with blue which really works. The touch of color at the horizon is lovely. It has a soothing quality.
I love the dramatic feel of the change in time of day. The light is a Devine light; the light on the water speaks to me spiritually. It’s powerful with the darkness and the pure light in the middle.
I love this piece for very different reasons than the others; I love how powerfully portrayed an everyday subject is. It’s a small piece with a big feel. It has a serenity to it and is so balanced.
I feel a serenity and nostalgic feeling about this; it could have been done 100 years ago. Very well balanced, not overdone. The colors in the background have an heirloom quality.
I love the simplicity. Using white for water is the magic of the piece along with the organic forms. The color palette really works.
I love this piece! You almost want to eat it like icing on a cake. The absolute looseness without being contrived is awesome. The use of color is phenomenal.
I love the dramatic feel of the change in time of day. The light is a Devine light; the light on the water speaks to me spiritually. It’s powerful with the darkness and the pure light in the middle.
I love the depth that he captured. The movement of the fish pushes it directly to the viewer. The overlay of color is so well done.
This is so fun. It feels like the artist said “I’m just doing this” and it is not contrived at all. The choice of colors works so well.
I love the color, the texture, the movement. Having the impressionist Van Gogh thing going is just lovely. It just says Van Gogh from the start
I love the naïveté; it reminds me of when we painted the sun and reflection as children, but yet there is a powerful use of darkness. The darks make the other colors really sing.
I love the organic lines; the imperfection and perfection of the lines. The orange rock formation is like stately queen. The foreground is arresting and leads you into the rest.
I love the texture of this piece. It is a great use of color. The looseness without feeling contrived is a gem for an artist.
The use of shade and light makes it have such an organic feeling. It gives a distortion to the body that is appealing and draws you in. The shadows on the right make it powerful.
